I'm Remco Janssen and I am working since 5 years for VDL Konings. Started within the Quality department and after 1 year, I changed to the Sales department where I am responsible for Account Management Systems and Modules. In this position I work together with customers in the area of Development and Manufacturing for MedTech, Semicon and Defence.
What is your position at VDL Konings and what does it mean?
My role is Account Manager Systems & Modules. As VDL Konings, we are working together with OEM companies for the development and manufacturing of high tech solutions. In my role as Account Manager, I am responsible for engaging with potential and new customers to find business opportunities in the field of development and/or manufacturing. After customer engagement, I am responsible for maintaining the relationship between the customer and VDL.
What is VDL Konings like as an employer?

With this combination, the development colleagues are always in close contact with our manufacturing staff which makes our work interesting. What do you like about working at VDL Konings?
I am working now since 5 years at VDL Konings. From the first day, I have the feeling to be part of a growing company where my personal opinion is valued in decisions. Within our organization, there is a variety of people who are working +25 years for VDL Konings but also new people with new ideas. Though this results into challenges sometimes, it makes work fun as there are always good discussions on certain approaches. Last but not least is VDL Konings a fantastic company for social events. We have a nice group of people organizing events very often.

Why would you recommend a job as Account Manager at VDL Konings?
I would really recommend my position as Account Manager. I am working with top level OEM companies on development and manufacturing solutions. I am often travelling to customers which is fun. However it results into a big responsibility as I am the ‘face of VDL Konings’ for the customer.
